Inter-Cultural Creative Partnerships Danzalibre Modou Diouf African Dumming Workshops Schools Workshops Corporate Team Building

An exciting music education project for 2005 and beyond…

The Arts Council of England has embarked on a major arts initiative called Creative Partnerships. This national initiative aims to create new ways of including young people of school age in the cultural life of their communities, explore creative approaches to teaching and learning, and develop the role of creativity in education.

Gary Newland has been commissioned by Creative Partnerships Norfolk, to create an on-going project which empowers class teachers to teach World Music as an integrated, cross-curricular subject through a holistic approach. We have identified four Global regions for this work which include: Africa, Indian Sub-continent, Latin America and the Caribbean and the Middle East. Each region studied would aim to present understanding in the Country, the People, the Music and, the Artists role in the community.

We are aiming to excite minds and explore innovative ways in which teachers, artists, and students can learn and develop together.
