DRUM CAMP 2011 - 7th, 8th, 9th,10th JULY
Our 2011 event returns to the lovely countryside of Bungay on the Norfolk/Suffolk borders. Situated between the towns of Bungay and Halesworth, off the A144, the site is easy to find and all maps and directions will be sent with tickets. Full address below. Access to the site is from mid afternoon Thursday 7th July. The event starts with an opening evening concert programme on the Thursday night. The event ends at 12.00am on the Sunday evening. You can stay over on the Sunday evening but we would request that you leave the site by mid afternoon on the Monday. For those travelling long distance, it is possible to arrive on the Wednesday, but please contact us first to confirm this as we are still in set up mode and prefer not to have too many early arrivals at this time. Drum Camp offers you the option of camping or, staying in local accommodation. For campers, we have ample space for tents, caravans or live -in vehicles. On site there will be ten portaloos which will be serviced daily, together with ample water points for washing and water supplies. We also have a four cubical hot shower unit which will be available 24 hours throughout the event. We separate cars from tents to allow for ease of access on and off the site. Cars will be parked next to the camping area so there's no real distance to access your cars for lock-up and valuables etc. we will make concessions on this for caravans and live-in vehicles. Our on-site cafe will be serving meat and vegetarian breakfasts, lunches and evening meals as well as hot and cold drinks and snacks etc at very reasonable prices. A separate meat griddle will be also open on a daily basis. You of course have the option of self catering but, we ask that you do not make camp fires and only use barbeques and camping stoves for cooking. Litter bins and skips will be located around the site for rubbish. For those not intending to camp, the towns of Bungay and Halesworth are a short drive away, and have numerous B & B and hotel accommodation. For lists, we suggest you contact the local tourist office or click on the link below which lists all local accommodation in the area from hotels to guesthouses: Full location and post code is: Hulver farm, South Elmham St Michael, Bungay, Suffolk NR35 1NF LOCAL ACCOMMODATION WEBSITE LINK http://www.a1tourism.com search under Bungay, Halesworth / Suffolk which will be the nearest localities for B & B options.
